Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education’s Flying Fathers’ Games a Success

While the money is still being counted, the Niagara Foundation for Catholic Education is counting the two Flying Fathers’ hockey games in Niagara last month as a resounding success!

The games were a partnership between the Foundation, the Thorold Mounts Oldtimers, and the Knights of Columbus Council 1652 of Niagara Falls. Proceeds will assist Niagara Catholic students in need and charities supported by the Thorold Mounts and the Knights of Columbus.

This year, students from Niagara Catholic secondary schools suited up as the first opponents to the Flying Fathers’, whose team was bolstered by local parish priests Father Paul MacNeil, Father Ronald Angervil, and Father Daniel Corso. The trio played in the games against the Niagara Catholic All-Stars as well as against the Thorold Mounts Oldtimers.

Thank you to all those who came out to enjoy the slapstick humour on the ice, and to support our local communities.
