Thank you for your interest in the Niagara Catholic District School Board.  We are currently seeking applicants to the Elementary and Secondary Principal and Vice-Principal Pool. Qualified applicants are invited to apply according to the instructions in the posting.

In order to be considered for a position as Principal/Vice Principal, you must adhere to the requirements outlined in the Catholic Leadership: Principal and Vice-Principal Selection Policy.

Teaching Positions

Thank you for your interest in the Niagara Catholic District School Board. Certified and/or new teacher graduates wishing to submit their application to Niagara Catholic are asked to visit www.applytoeducation.com to complete an online teacher application.

In order to be considered for an interview, please ensure that the following documents are uploaded to Apply to Education as part of your application package:

  • Cover letter and resumé
  • Completed Catholic Faith Reference Portfolio (Must be current within the year)
  • Undergrad transcripts
  • Faculty of Education transcripts (upon receipt)
  • If you are not a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and you are attending U.S. Faculty of Education, provide your three New York State Teacher Certification Examinations Score Reports (upon receipt)
  • If you are a teacher, please submit your most recent Teacher Performance Appraisal. For Candidates currently in Teachers’ College, please submit your final Practice Teaching Performance Evaluation Reports (upon receipt).
  • Letters of reference (minimum of 2)

Occasional Teachers- French Qualified

Occasional Teachers

The Niagara Catholic District School Board is committed to ensuring that qualified teachers are teaching in our classrooms at all times. From time to time, in extenuating circumstances, this may not be possible. A Board -egistered Emergency Instructor may be called upon, as a casual worker, to cover a classroom in the absence of the classroom teacher for a part or a full day. Careful consideration is given to the selection of people to fulfill these roles, and the Emergency Instructor is given training in school procedures and is subject to a Criminal Background Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening before entering the classroom.
