Through the leadership of our International Education Division and the supportive, welcoming and cooperative spirit of colleagues and students throughout Niagara Catholic, we are currently the home for approximately three hundred full-year international students from around the world. Our global Niagara Catholic community continues to enrich the cultural diversity and international perspectives within our schools. We are very honoured to continue to be the ‘School Board of choice’ for students and their families from Bahamas, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Congo, Ecuador, England, Finland, Grenada, Honduras, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Nigeria, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, USA, Venezuela and Vietnam. In addition, student groups from Peru, Thailand and South Korea will join our various school communities for short-term programs throughout this year making Niagara Catholic a truly recognized international educational destination. Niagara Catholic students and families have participated in exchange opportunities through our partnership with Ste. Denis Catholic School in Loches, France, as well as other destinations through Ministry approved partner organizations such as the Canadian Education Exchange Foundation (CEE) and the International Student Exchange-Ontario (ISE).
In December, Niagara Catholic hosted the Principal and Vice-Principal of the Soochow Foreign Language School in Suzhou, China, to discuss a partnership between Niagara Catholic and high school students at the school.
