Niagara Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (NCPIC)
When parents are engaged in their child’s learning, students do better in school. The children learn better and achievement levels increase, and have a positive attitude toward school, and attend school more regularly.
In keeping with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Niagara Catholic District School Board, the Niagara Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (NCPIC), is a regional body of representative stakeholders, that supports the Mission of Catholic Education and the Mission of the Niagara Catholic District School Board, by providing a communication link to parents/guardians, Catholic School Councils, the Director of Education, and the Board of Trustees.
The Niagara Catholic Parent Involvement Committee, as supported by the Niagara Catholic District School Board, promotes active parent/guardian engagement with all parents/guardians in all schools for the improvement of student achievement and the well-being of all students in the Niagara Catholic District School Board.
At home, at school, and in the community……..parents matter!

Catholic School Councils
A Catholic School Council will be established in each elementary and secondary school in the Board to encourage the active participation of parents in Catholic Education, to improve student achievement and well-being of all students, and to enhance the accountability of the education system to all parents in the Board.
Catholic School Councils give parents, staff and other community partners the opportunity to have a positive influence on our Catholic identity, student achievement and school climate. Catholic School Councils are comprised of a dedicated team of parent representatives, a teacher, non-teaching staff member, a community representative a Parish representative and the school Principal/Vice-Principal.
As a Catholic School Council member, you can help your council discover new and exciting ways to contribute to the growth and improvement of your school.
Please consider attending a council meeting or becoming a part of your Catholic School Council. Your participation can make a difference!
