Chair of the Board
Frank Fera was re-elected as Chair of the Board for 2020 by straw vote during Niagara Catholic's Annual Organizational Meeting on December 3, 2019 . He has served as a trustee in the city of Niagara Falls/Niagara-on-the-Lake since 2000. Prior to that, he was a Catholic elementary school teacher and principal in Niagara Catholic’s preceding board. He was the first president of the Serra Club, which promotes vocations to the priesthood and religious life, and remains an active member. Vice-Chair of the Board
Dino Sicoli was re-elected Vice-Chair of the Board by straw vote during Niagara Catholic's Annual Organizational Meeting on December 3, 2019. He has served as trustee for residents of Fort Erie, Port Colborne and Wainfleet since 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Sicoli was a Catholic school teacher and principal in Niagara Catholic’s preceding board. He is a volunteer driver with the Canadian Cancer Society, provides grief recovery services for St. Patrick Church in Port Colborne, and is a part of the church’s committee which sponsored a family from Syria. Rhianon Burkholder was elected as a trustee for Thorold/Merritton in 2010 and again in 2018. She has been employed with the Niagara Health System for more than 30 years, and has been actively involved in Catholic School Council and the Catholic Women’s League in her community.
Kathy Burtnik was elected as a trustee in St. Catharines in 1994 and has held that seat ever since. She has held a number of positions on the Board, including Chair and Vice-Chair, is Past-President of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association and is a director of the Canadian Catholic Trustee Association.
Larry Huibers was elected as a trustee in St. Catharines in 2018.
Mr. Huibers is the Executive Director of the Hamilton Housing Help Centre, is Chair of the Resource Association for Teens (RAFT) and is very active in the social justice community.
Daniel Moody was elected as a trustee in Niagara Falls in 2018. He is a retired Niagara Regional Police officer, and is currently sergeant-at-arms for city council in Niagara Falls, town council in Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Regional Municipality of Niagara.
Leanne Prince was elected as trustee for Grimsby, Lincoln, West Lincoln and Pelham in 2018. As the mother of two boys currently attending Niagara Catholic schools, she has been an active member of the Niagara Catholic Parent Involvement Committee.
Paul Turner was elected as trustee for Welland in 2018. A retired Catholic teacher, Paul has a long history of service to his community. He is a Director on The Hope Centre’s Board, and is actively involved with S.T.E.P. Niagara, which advocates for the homeless, Development and Peace and his local parish.
Jade Bilodeau is in her second of a two-year term as one of Niagara Catholic’s student trustees. A Grade 12 student at Saint Paul Catholic High School, Jade was selected by her peers on the Niagara Catholic Student Senate as a Student Trustee in 2018, and was selected as a (role on OSTA for the 2019-2020 school year) in June, 2019.

Luca DiPietro is in his first year of a two-year term as one of Niagara Catholic’s student trustees. A Grade 11 student at Blessed Trinity Catholic Secondary School, Luca was selected by his peers on the Niagara Catholic Student Senate as a Student Trustee in 2019.
